About OG Learning Lab
OG Learning Lab is a warm, structured space for school‑aged children who find reading and writing hard, including students with dyslexia. Using the Science of Reading and the Orton-Gillingham approach, lessons are calm, clear, and tailored so each child can move from frustration to confidence. Families are supported with honest communication, practical strategies, and a focus on steady, meaningful progress.
Why I Do What I Do
The “why” behind my work is simple: teaching students is where I feel most at home. Supporting children as they learn to read and write is the part of my day that brings me energy and purpose. I love connecting with students, helping them discover their strengths, and watching their confidence grow as they realize they can do hard things.
Every learner comes with their own story, their own pace, and their own path. Not all students move through the education system in the same way — and they shouldn’t have to. My role is to meet them exactly where they are, guide them with patience and clarity, and help them uncover the skills that have always been inside them.
Being part of a child’s learning journey is a privilege. Seeing a student light up when something finally “clicks,” or watching them take pride in a piece of writing they once thought was impossible — those are the moments that remind me why this work matters so much. Helping students find their way isn’t just my job; it’s the most meaningful part of what I do.
